Straight-Line Speed
Pros:
•Has plenty of straight-line speed to beat defenders on a wheel route
•4.49 40 is solid for a RB
•Has more than enough speed to kick return
Cons:
•None
Physicality / Contact Balance
Pros:

•Tends to bounce forward because he runs so low
•Falls forward consistently and uses anything to stay upright around the endzone
•Can truck people over once he has momentum
•Great balance along the sideline
•Has above-average contact balance to slip ankle tackles
•Has a decent stiff arm he can use to create a little extra separation or stop people from going low
Cons:

Ideal Situation:
•Jadarian Price, I think, is a true combo back in the current NFL, where bell cow running backs are becoming less common. Price is a good 1st and 2nd down back; however, in short yardage scenarios and on 3rd and 4th down, I don’t think he has a role there. A team that drafts him will need a power back to combo with him, or even a receiving back, at least until he can develop or bulk up. I think the Texans would be the best fit as they just released Joe Mixon and signed David Montgomery, who can be a good fit for the 2 years on his contract before handing the full reins over to Price. Maybe they could form their own mini “Sonic & Knuckles,” although Price is not nearly the prospect that Gibbs was out of Bama.
