Kadyn Proctor is a very fascinating prospect, mainly because he is a massive human being and plays with an unwarranted swagger. Proctor was selected in the 1st Round, 12th overall. My goodness, when Proctor’s name came up while I was watching the draft, I have never been more shocked. Proctor is a solid player with an elite frame, is amazing at the point of attack, has heavy hands that leave defenders hopeless when he really locks onto them, and has great physicality. Now, all those things are very good for a tackle, but his athleticism and use in pulls/counters were very underwhelming for such a physical guy. Proctor’s footwork and overall game IQ are pretty lackluster. I think Kadyn Proctor is a very solid player, but being drafted 12th OVERALL IS PURE INSANITY. The Dolphins had Caleb Lomu, Max Iheanachor, and Blake Miller on the board. I mean, what are we doing? The only possible reason I can think of for Proctor being taken so high is that they're gonna rely solely on De’Von Achane and Malik Willis’ legs all season. I am glad that he will most likely be playing LG for them next season, as I almost got flashbacks as a Raiders fan thinking of Alex Leatherwood (another physical tackle from Alabama). I really do think that Kadyn Proctor can excel at guard, but why take him 12th overall when the superior guard in Olaivavega Ioane from Penn State was right there? While I haven’t watched Ioane’s tape, his highlights suggest he's the superior prospect. Proctor has also had a rumored torn labrum since 2024, which is why he wore a brace on his left arm the entire 2025 season. I think Kadyn Proctor is a good player and will definitely be an above-average guard in the NFL with the potential to be a low-end Pro-Bowler, but man, I just don’t understand the Dolphins organization.
